Butte Rocks Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

KinderKen: I replaced stage one several days ago and this has been an ongoing problem. Today I checked on the second stage and it was missing. Even some survey flagging which I had placed on several trees some distance from the cache which I could line up so that I could find stage two more easily when I wanted to check on it had been removed. In fact, I found both pieces of flagging in the stage two hiding spot so this was deliberately messed with. I created this cache which required a projection and I had clear instructions in the stage one container to help those that were unsure about how to do a projection so that it was a learning tool. I'm sorry to have to archive this one but the vandals have won.

Geocache Description:

Fairly easy 2 stage multi

Congratulations to daedulus for the FTF

This multi-cache is located in a very nice park in the community of Arbour Lake. The posted coordinates will take you to Stage 1 which is a small container that will provide you with the means to find the final stage. The final stage is a regular sized Lock & Lock container. It contains some nice rocks of various types and sizes. If you don't have rocks to trade, that's OK, trade something else if you wish. I will restock it as required to maintain the theme.

This multicache requires one to use a projection using a True North Reference. There are simple instructions at the first stage which explain how this is done. If your GPS device does not do projections, there are on-line tools that will do this including the Ruler Line Draw tool in Google Earth.
