Stony Ridge Cache is near the Mill Creek Metroparks Bike Trail which is a newly paved railroad bed. Starting from the intersection of the bike trail with Mahoning Avenue, it is a 3/4 mile level hike/bike South to the spot on the trail adjacent to the cache site.
The cache contents are in a one gallon rubbermaid plastic container with a screw-on lid and should be well protected from the elements. In addition to the log notebook, 2 pencils and a pen, the cache initially contains a piece of petrified wood, a packet of udder cream, a Mill Creek Park golf ball tied in a sack, a bar of fancy soap, a bar of rain forest soap, a box of birthday candles, a pink cow from Wisconsin, a set of anchor buttons, an aluminum cross, a pair of babies fingernail scissors, a packet of Shasta Daisy seeds, and a Ty Libearty Bear.
I hope that Libearty Bear remains in the cache as a reminder to those who visit to keep the victims, family and friends of the 911 World Trade Center/Pentagon attacks and Pennsylvania plane crash in their prayers and thoughts. May we always realize what a great and free country we live in. God Bless America.
