Geocache Description:

Help us celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Geocaching! Who would have thought back when President Clinton turned off "selective availability" that a game that is so much fun for people of all ages would be born?

If you do not know the history of geocaching you can read about it here.

We'll meet at Camp Caro at 11:00 AM for some socializing and play a GPS accuracy game. At Noon we'll gather for a group picture and then settle in for a picnic lunch (bring your favorite) and more socializing.

  • I'll bring the birthday cake and some punch or lemonade.
  • You bring something for your lunch. This isn't a potluck, just bring what you want to eat.
  • If you have folding camp chairs, please bring them. There are some picnic tables but we'll probably be short of seating.
  • Dress for the weather.

Everyone is welcome to join in this celebration of 10 years of Geocaching. Come out and share some stories, discuss your favourite caches, get some help with a pesky puzzle cache, or find the owner of that cache you just can't find and get a hint!

This event is part of a worldwide celebration of Geocaching's first 10 years happening only on May 1st and 2nd. Check back here for more details as the date approaches.

If you are a Geocacher in the state of Washington, please join the Washington State Geocaching Association. This is a great way to get the most out of Geocaching in our region. Simply go to the WSGA Web Page for details!
