Bushwalk 3 Rangiwahia Scenic Reserve (Manawatu)

Cache is near track marked with orange triangles through Reserve which is accessed from the now formed paper road
Park on the road opposite the start of the paper road. S 39 54 030, E 175 53 946. Go along paper road, across footbridge till get to stile. Track starts beyond the stile and loops through about half of the 54 ha reserve. Mixed podocarp - hardwood bush with some great trees and tree ferns. Some parts are steepish, some wet. Allow at least an hour to an hour and a half. Feel free to help maintain the track, includiing pulling barberry seedlings. Cache has; baby in a bath, bracelet, hair clip, 18 sided dice, "long arms". Look out for the Rangiwahia Environment and Arts Centre and live willow woven creations in the paddock near the turnoff onto the sort of formed legal road and in front of the old dairy factory.
