Geocache Description:

Cache is a small Systema container,
with a new fishing lure for FTF

Katherine Low Level Nature Reserve

Built during the War,
the Low Level Bridge enabled traffic to cross the Mighty Katherine River.

Being only 6 feet above the ‘Dry Season’ water Level,
it is impassable during the majority of the wet season (Dec- April)
when the water level is 40 feet above it
This water having originated in Arnhem Land,
flows through the Nitmiluk Katherine Gorge, passes through the town of Katherine
and on to the Daly River where its journey of over 400+ km
takes it to Anson Bay in the Joseph Boneparte Gulf (only 100 km from Darwin).
