Ahoy Mates!
November 14th. 1:00-1:15 p.m.
Mark your calendars.
This is fifteen minutes you won't want to flash by.
This event is a "Flash Mob" gathering of geocachers, only 15 minutes long!
To claim the event, you must be present and sign a log sheet during this time.
"WWFM" stands for the World Wide Flash Mob: Hundreds of events all around the world, coordinated to happen at the same time to bring together geocachers and introduce others (non-geocachers) to geocaching.
You've heard of MEGA-EVENTS...
This is quite the opposite in a variety of ways. Sort of like a MICRO-EVENT.
Come be part of this historic experience!
The event will begin precisely at 1:00pm on November 14, 2009 and will last EXACTLY fifteen minutes, not one second longer.
EVENT DETAILS
Before the event, do not gather in a group or in the area right around the ramp until 12:55pm.
12:59 PM - Make your way to the designated event coordinates shown above. Keep acting like you know no one.
1:00 PM - At exactly 1:00 PM as determined by the GPS clock, We will show the green ammo can at the designated coordinates to signify the start of the flash mob. We will sign the log sheet. Then mingle and chat with your fellow cachers until the start of the main attraction.
1:05 PM - At exactly 1:05 PM as determined by the GPS clock, We will announce the next segment. Everyone should have one item which relates to boating... be original if you can... there may be a prize in it for you! We will all sing a Row Row Row Your Boat starting one person at a time until everyone is singing a round. Then the person to my left should follow suit. Repeat until everyone has sang.
1:10 PM - At exactly 1:10 PM as determined by the GPS clock, I will blow the whistle a third time to signify the end of the singing phase and we will immediately assemble for and take a group photo. Also we will be holding a couple of drawings... so make sure to stick around!
1:15 PM - At exactly 1:15 PM as determined by the GPS clock, I will blow the whistle a final time to signify the end of the "WWFM VI - Ahoy Mates" event.
