you'll start at the southington sportsmans club on mt. vernon rd. in southington. you can park at the lower lot (n 41 36.053 w 072 55.576) and that will be the ct. blue trail, follow the trail up. i brought my dogs up here many of times and hiked this trail up to the res, but you won't be going up that far, it's a great walk especily in the fall time and snow won't pose a problem on this part of the trail.
this is my first cache that i'm hiding so i bought some goodies to put in this cache , 1 tape measure , 2 yellow highlighters, 1 pig ear, 1 dog chew toy, 1 small retractable dog leash, couple of pencils and a few more things, the FTF gets there pick of the cache . if you like you can drop off T/B's ,coins and other stuff to trade if you like. please sign the log book . bring pen or pencil .
