Geocache Description:

A cache at beautiful Pakiri Beach.

Future Park - Still under development

A stunning piece of coastal land at Pakiri was purchased by the ARC in late 2005, creating the ARC's 25th regional park.

The 52 hectare piece of land includes 900 metres of sandy coastal foreshore and stands of inspiring mature coastal pohutukawa trees along the dunes.

A full range of park facilities will not be developed for some years, however people can access the land from Pakiri Beach. In the future, park visitors will be able to take part in traditional beach activities such as swimming, fishing and surfing. The land is also suitable for picnicking and walking.

The ARC purchased the land from part-owner boxing champion David Tua for $10.25 million.

"This land holds a special place in my heart," he says. " As a people person, I am pleased that the general public of New Zealand will be able to enjoy the property, for generations to come.
"When I heard it was the ARC that wanted to purchase the property, it was an assurance to me that it was ok to let go."

You are searching for a berrocca container with a bit of camo. The cache contains a log and pencil only.

Enjoy
