Geocache Description:

This cache is situated in the Stainbank nature reserve, the entrance fee is R15 per person. The reserve is one of the larger nature reserves in Durban municipality and contains various buck, zebra and other small mammals.

The history of this reserve can befound on the other caches also situated on the reserve. This cache is a tribute to both the fight against alien plants in KwaZulu-Natal and a caching tradition that doesn’t seem to have become local (or is that indigenous) here in this province. The cache co-ordinates will take you to the parking area in the reserve.

From where you will have to seek information on the fight against alien plants in the province – if you going to fight a war you have to have the right ammunition.

Sorry we may be trying to save the indigenous plants on this one but we are not saving trees, chances are you will have to print out the clues below to give you your next set of co-ordinates:
S 29 54.ABC E 030 56.DEF
A – The last digit of the toll free call line of the Alien Buster Campaign
B – The category number for invader plants with commercial or utility value, which may only be grown with a permit under controlled circumstances.
C – The category number of the most dangerous alien plants minus 1.
D- The last digit of the street address of the Durban Unicity of the Environmental Management Branch
E – The second digit of the year in which the Conservation of Agricultural Resources Act was enacted.
F – The number of skulls on the first poster minus 4.

WARNING: Ticks are prevalent in the reserve and insect repellent is strongly advised as well as longs or at least long socks (so it’s not for the squeamish dedicated followers of fashion).

For the first to find there is a FTF keyring!!
