Barbie Beach Traditional Cache

A Dept. of Fish and Wildlife or Discover parking pass is required to park here. Once parked, you go up and down a steep berm, then down a nice trail, and out onto some rocks which may be slippery when wet or covered in snow. The rocks are steep, but no gear is required. CAUTION: the nice trail has poison oak on both sides but you can get down the trail just fine without touching any.
This cache is located in close proximity to where another cache use to be, there is kind of a story that goes along with it though. I got in touch with Dept. of Fish and Wildlife to get permission to place my cache at this particular location. The day they responded with a 'go ahead', was the same day that Twiggy became active. I was so bummed out that someone had beat me to it. The one location in Cashmere that wasn't already taken by a cache was now taken. I did a lot of pondering over whether or not I could still place my cache in the general location. I decided that Barbie Beach (named as I know it), needed a cache that took people down the beautiful little trail and down close to the water. I had a ammo can originally for this location, but after being unsuccessful in finding a good spot far enough away from Twiggy, I down sized.
This is such an awesome little area. I would hate it if people came to find Twiggy and left without ever really getting out of the parking area. I just had to bring you further in. This place is frequented by muggles during the summer and fishing months. There is PLENTY of chances to do some Cito. It's actually kind of sad how people have trashed this gorgeous place. PLEASE bring your trash bags and help clean this area. It would also be a great 'cover' to search for the cache when muggles are around. It's not too suspicious for someone to see you with a garbage sack in a well littered area searching around for trash. Hope you all enjoy this one!!
