The cache is located near to Danby Tennis Club’s courts just above the lovely Danby Dale. Parking close to cache site. Pencil/pen needed as there is none in the cache container.
Junior Reddanbydan comes for tennis lessons to these courts and we always say they have the best view of any courts in England! The pub back down the road in the direction of Ainthorpe, the Fox and Hounds, serves a good pint of beer and in the early summer the quoits pitches are in use twice a week.
If you carry on up the road and turn right onto the bridleway, you will walk up onto Ainthorpe Rigg which has an ancient standing stone and enclosure. Alternatively, carry on along the road towards Danby Castle and bag our cache there too!
