Geocache Description:

Chief come to JDSP to track the sacred white coyote and to fish in creek name Kitching. For many years Chief pitch tepee in northwest area of park named for its primitive scenery. Ancestors call this area Poo-ka-soo-la Ha-na-sa in honor of the spirits of the prehistoric animals which once roamed these grounds.

Today the area is crawling with giant hogs, snakes, spiders and alligators. Few paleface dare to travel into these parts of the forest and for good reason. The hike from the Cacheapalooza4 pavilion parking lot is a little over 7.5 miles round trip. Bicycles are NOT permitted on the Florida Trail. You are looking for a standard ammo box.
