Setting the Scene.

 Whilst innocently out Geocaching one day, Inspector Latitude came across evidence of a dastardly deed hidden deep within the surroundings of a disused railway line.  As his ambitious right hand man you are called upon to investigate the case by collecting all the evidence so that you can quickly solve the crime ahead of your fellow officers.  You know that if through your hard work and attention to detail you become FTF then you will be able to hold your head high within the caching force and promotion to your next waypoint will not be long in coming.  Attention to detail is the key to solving the “Who Done It” but you are also very aware that hot on your trail will be other equally astute and ambitious investigators  and you don’t want to make their job too easy so you must pay particular attention to re-hiding the evidence.  If an innocent Muggle should accidentally stumble across the evidence you know your career would be over!

Getting Started.

 Although you could probably get parked closer I suggest that to make your investigation into a more interesting circular walk you start from Wellow Dam (Co-ordinates below).  Head off towards Wellow House School, cross the road and follow the track along the dyke between Wellow School and the backs of the houses.  At the end turn right into the school field and follow the footpath signs around the edge of the school field and Wellow Park Stables / Riding School crossing several styles on route.  When you reach the disused railway track your investigation will start and your GPS will take over for the next part of the walk.  After successfully completing the “Murder Mystery” & “Who Done It” caches continue on a few more yards along the edge of the railway line until you get to the end by a field then turn left and left again and follow the dirt track back up towards the village. Continue to follow the road into Wellow village and back to your car.

This Murder Mystery involves collecting 3 items of evidence that will lead you to the final cache where you can sign the exhibit log.  At this point you will be given the location of the trial (Who Done It Cache) and providing you have been thorough you will be able to gain access and with just a little more investigative work you should be able to gain a conviction.
