Geocache Description:

Mmmm ... Turkey Day!  Mashed potatoes & giblet gravy, beans, corn, buttered rolls, homemade pickles, ripe olives, cranberry sauce, cakes and pies of every kind imaginable and of course a plump, golden brown turkey.  After eating all that, what we need is a brisk hike to a geocache.  And what better place to hike and cache than the Pinhoti Trail.  Pinhoti comes from the Creek Indian word for  "turkey home".  The Pinhoti trail stretches over 325 miles from Alabama's foothills to the southern terminus of the Appalachian Trail in North Georgia.  The trail is marked with signs representing a turkey's footprint.  This particular part of the Pinhoti Trail is located along Taylor's Ridge.  At this time of year, you will most likely encounter hunters (or at least their vehicles on the side of the road), so please wear hunter's orange when hiking here.  You'd hate to be mistaken for a deer or turkey while you're bent over looking in that suspicious nook or cranny.  Once again, WEAR ORANGE!!

Since so many non-cachers visit this area, we have hidden the ammo can quite well, so please rehide it the same. If you find this one, you deserve a second helping of pumpkin pie!  Happy Thanksgiving and good caching always.

We couldnt help ourselves ... Please dont hate us
