The shortest route to the caches in the Krazy Eight series can be found by parking at the Camp Murphy Bike Trail (N 27° 00.102’, W 080° 06.193’) and beginning your bike or hike for 0.75 mile to Krazy Eight 1. They are also accessible from the northern part of the Old Dixie Road Bike Trail (parking at N 27° 00.706’, W 080° 06.737’), but that will add an additional half-mile to the trip. If you choose roadside parking, all wheels must be off the roadway pavement. Do not block any gates.
This is a series of eight geocaches that we enjoyed preparing for the CacheaPalooza 4 attendees and subsequent cachers who venture into JD State Park on the southernmost part of the Old Dixie Road Bike Trail. We tried to keep them interesting, if not a little “krazy,” so don’t let the distance keep you away. We’ll be cheering for you when you make it to the end.
This is an area where the trees are not so
lush, so hiding the cache was fun. The cache is no more than the size of an eyeglass case, so there is room for some smaller trade items. Enjoy the hunt!!
