Geocache Description:

One of Four

Well you all are pretty familiar with Bubba. You’ve helped him on his farm at several events. Nice Hike with a fine view at the end.

Well you all are pretty familiar with Bubba. You’ve helped him on his farm at several events; harvesting his crops, rounding up his animals and taking them all to market. Well, he needs your help again. He is in dire need of a tractor, but he doesn’t have the scratch for a new one. These are lean times you know. The farm could make a whole lot more money if he had one. He could actually marry his sweetie – Big Mama if he could just find’em one for not a lot dough. And like a bolt of lightning it hit him! Or… he could find the ones his Gramps “Ole Búandi” hid years ago.

One night while watching one of his 3 favorite movies - National Treasure, The Shawshank Redemption and Fried Green Tomatoes… something sparked a memory from his past. He loves these movies because their significant themes that have a definite similarity to geocaching. National Treasure – like a bunch of puzzle caches that lead to final bonus cache; The Shawshank Redemption – is like an offset multi-cache; Fried Green Tomatoes - It was filmed here in Georgia and is a Virtual cache, plus the complex and complicated relationship between 2 sets of women is a very intriguing cinematic errrr uuhhhh - mainly because of the geocaching aspect. Big Mama likes the movie OK! Don’t Judge. Aaaaaaanyway… He was watching National Treasure like he used to do with his Bestefar. It was his favorite movie too. Bubba began remembering that when he was a youngin’ he and his Bestefar - Ole Búandi spent a lot of time together geocaching and the like. They were very close. They would go on geocaching adventures together. The more difficult and challenging, the more rewarding it was and the more fun they had. What you need to know about Ole is he loved 3 things besides his family and the farm – Geocaching, Puzzles and Tractors. He could never pass a tractor up. He would buy it up, take it home and then it would disappear. For many years, no one ever mentioned them, until one day Bubba asked him where they went to, the response was “I’m savin’ them for lean times! “ “Where are you saving them Bestefar?” “I’m not going to tell you where they are, you will have to find them. You will have to look within yourself to remember the skills that you learned from all of the times we spent together and the adventures that we shared. When the times are lean you will be ready for your tractor to be crunked!” “Huuuuh?” “Bubba, one day you will start at the beginning and find a clue that will lead you to the next clue and so on. Come find me when you are ready.” “OK,Bestefar.” And he hadn’t thought about that day … till today. But Bubba wasn’t sure where to start his search... You see Ole died some years ago. So he started by going through his grandfather’s belongings that were stored in the barn to see if he could find any clues but all he found was 3 books – the Farmer’s Almanac, Geocaching for Dummies and his (Grootmoeder Hendrika's) bible; a copy of the family tree; a miner’ pan; a compass; a free mason’s ring; and a buffalo nickel. Just when he had almost lost all hope, he saw it. Something was just barely sticking out of one of the books. It was the corner of an envelope. An envelope that was addressed to Bubba! A clue! It was a note that said “Keep your eyes open for the Keys! The tractors won’t be hard for you to find… But the keys are. And you can’t Crunk Yo Tractor without a Key!” Bubba dug through Ole’s stuff again but there weren’t any keys. So he decided to start looking for the tractors and hope he would come across a key along the way. The search started on the intarweb to see if there were anymore clues buried in his Bestefar’s Log entries or if he could back track his travels… Nope. Nothing in the logs. Then it hit him, “Come find me when you are ready.” So Bubba and Big Mama went to Ole’s grave and there on the headstone was some numbers. To the untrained eye, it just looked like numbers… But what Bubba saw was Coordinates and his Grandfather’s epitaph… “This is only the Beginning! So go Crunk Yo Tractor!”

And that’s when Big Mama said “Well, I guess you have your beginning now. So I suggest you see where that takes you...”
