Geocache Description:

This is one of our Rotund - As... Series of cache hides.

The others in the series are:

Rotund - As... in Cambridge, Rotund - As... in Leamington and also the now archived Rotund - As... Bonus.

The Ngaruawahia band rotunda stands on “The Point” – which is where the Waipa and Waikato Rivers meet. While there are two Maori translations of Ngaruawahia, one loosely meaning “the place of the two rivers” - a reference to the joining of the two rivers. There is a very informative sign not far from the cache which gives the history of the area and “The Point.”

This can be a high muggle area so please use stealth when logging and replacing the cache. And please bring a pen!
