Geocache Description:

An easy hike to this location in Cockaponset State Forest.

This is the first of four caches that we placed today in an area of Cockaponset State Forest that needed a few more caches. You will be looking for a match stick container that is "hidden" in plain view a short ways off one of the old roads that crisscross the forest.

There are a number of points of entry to this section of Cockaponset. There is a parking area off Rt. 145 Deep River that is at the beginning of a gated road on the west side of the forest; a parking area off Rt. 80 in Deep River at a gated road at the southern end of the forest; or you can enter the area from Butter Jones Road in Chester.

There is a small pencil in the cache but to be on the safe side bring one with you.
