An easy hike along the Quinimay Trail.
This was second of four caches placed in a section of Cockaponset State forest that lies in Chester, Killingworth and Deep River. The cache is hidden a short distance from the newly marked Quinimay Trail - although the trail has been in use for a long time.
There are a number of points of entry to this section of Cockaponset. There is a parking area off Rt. 145 Deep River that is at the beginning of a gated road on the west side of the forest; a parking area off Rt. 80 in Deep River at a gated road at the southern end of the forest; or you can enter the area from Butter Jones Road in Chester.
There is a small pencil in the cache but to be on the safe side bring one with you.
