I can't find any recent responses from cc1309 about maintaining this cache which makes it appear they are either unwilling or unable to maintain this geocache. Cache maintenance includes: replacing broken or missing containers, replacing full or wet logs, updating any changes to the text, updating coordinates, removing the needs maintenance attributes, enabling the listing, and more. Geocache Description:

Micro cache at the Everglades Cemetery

A long, long time ago the country was against the black and white person mixing in life. This was called segregation. During this period, even little ole Hobbs was practicing segregation. You will find yourself at the Everglades Cemetery which is where the blacks of the community were laid to rest.

Today, some of the resting places of many are still unknown. You will notice there are some new monuments that are being graciously donated by members of the community to mark the resting place of some.

I will update this listing once I get more information on the history of the cemetery.

Make sure you look at the tree that has grown into the sign.
