Roaming Free at the Reef (Auckland) Traditional Cache

Welcome to Meola Reef - Dog Exercise Area

Cache located on the Western Side of Meola Reef in the Dog Exercise Area. This is an area where you can take your dog off the lead and let them roam (shown in red on the map below)

Cache Description

• GCMK7G - End of the Lava Flow
• GC17G8K - Lava In The Harbour at the tip of the reef

Possibly the most common route to these caches is the eastern pathway, but the western route is also quite interesting including the development of a platform structure on the Meola Creek flats. The area is also particularly interesting if you have a dog :-).

Cache is a small sistema container and contains a logbook and pencil. There is space for small trinkets and TBs
