Located on the grounds of a Victorian mansion listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Built a century ago, this 28 room Victorian mansion reflects the prosperity and gracious living of another era, including parquet flooring, a ballroom, leaded stained glass windows, ornate chandeliers and carved woodwork.
The home was built by L.H. Brightman, a wealthy Cleveland industrialist, who moved here in 1902 with his wife and eight children. The Brightmans only occupied the house for two years. In 1907 the home served as a sanitarium and in 1909 is was sold to businessman, H.C. Lee. Lee's daughter, Lena, known for her many beautiful hats, resided here until 1971 and spent the last 20 years of her life in just two rooms.
You may even catch a glimpse of Lena, as reported by many, looking out one of the upstairs windows!
This cache, suitable for all ages, is located outside, under the watchful eye of Lena. Look for the lady in the black hat.
Please log your experience, and enjoy our charming town!
