This is a short walk along a horse trail, 0.15 miles one way. Terrain varies from 2 during dry season to occasionally 4 during wet season. Please park at the coords provided so your vehicle won't be in the way of the horse trailers that come and go. PLEASE NOTE: The paved road leading to the cache has signs stating "Private Road". This is NOT a private road. There are businesses down this road, as well as a public entrance to the Picayune State Forest, so disregard the signs.

An unusual request......
For safety’s sake, please DON’T use stealth!! Most of the local riders know about the cache. Say hello well in advance to anyone approaching on horseback or walking a horse, so the horse knows you aren’t a big scary animal looking for a meal. Some horses get spooked easily and we don’t want anyone getting hurt. I’ve found that frequently rattling my keys works well in alerting the horses of my presence.
Also, if it’s wet season, the mosquitoes can be fierce. You may want to use repellant, or dress appropriately. Snakes and other critters should be expected in the woods regardless of the location, so please be alert.
