Easy, quick cach with a history lesson. Fun for entire family.
This cache is located at one of the landmarks that dot Hyw 101 in
Discovery Bay. It is now the Snug Harbor Cafe, but for over 50
years it was know as the Richfield Tavern serving travelers with a
cafe, store, tavern, gas station and small over night cabins. The
orginial tavern was across the highway, but then in 1939 the
present building was built and closed the old tavern. The original
business continued to the 1980's.
The cache has been placed with the owners permission so please
respect the property. No need to climb on any of the landscape or
damage plants to locate the prize. The cache can hold small items,
bring a pen to sign the log. Please keep small children in hand, it
is a busy highway.
