Tally View Traditional Cache
billdev: I'm shutting down this cache. Visited site after a DNF and there has been too much activity done by nature that the site isn't really a safe place to cache....forest fire and recent sloughing of rock outcrop. Site hadn't had caching activity for years, a sign of the times.

Enjoy the view of Tally Lake with a short round-trip hike of 2.7 miles with about 500 feet elevation gain.
Turn west off of the Farm-to-Market Road and go to the Tally Lake Campground. Turn left and cross a small wooden bridge after turning into the campground. Follow this gravel road until you see a small parking area on the left with a trail-head sign for Trail #804 which takes off to your right. You'll gain most of the elevation in the first half of the hike. Enjoy the view at the "overlook" before heading further to locate the cache.
This cache was placed in the fall to enjoy the colorful larch. Cache carefully during the hunting season by wearing orange.
The best time to photograph the view is late afternoon.
Cache is a medium-sized lock-n-lock container with several trading items and a FTF gift. Please do not trade any food or fragrance items and remember CITO. Thank you for visiting this special place.
