PLEASE COVER THIS CACHE CAREFULLY WHEN PLACING IT BACK
This cache is situated in one of the larger laybys on the road between Kingston and Queenstown. It is an ideal spot to take a break from driving, with magnificent views of Lake Wakatipu and mountains.
A cairn is erected here to the memory of John M Newman who was instrumental in establishing this park and other scenic reserves in the district.
