Geocache Description:

Strimko

Strimko is a puzzle developed by The Grabarchuk family and is based on the concept of Latin Squares, which were described by the Swiss mathematician Leonhard Euler in the 18th century. A Latin Square is an array of numbers, letters or the like in which each item appears exactly once in each row and column. Sudoku is a good example of a Latin Square. (Does that make it Japin, or Latinese? I am so confused...)

In the Strimko variation, there are 3 rules:
1. Each row must contain each number exactly once.
2. Each column must contain each number exactly once.
3. Each stream (group of circles connected by the lines) must contain each number exactly once.
