Located of HWY 165 in Fort Mitchell, AL
Small ammo box with swag and log book.
Every time visit this location, I remember the day that my grandfather passed away. I was fourteen, and had been very strong and brave, but when the rifles fired and the trumpet blew those first three notes, I wept like a baby.
This cache is placed in his honor, as well as our fallen brothers and sisters at Fort Hood on November 5, 2009. As you leave the woods, look to your left and you'll see a bench under an oak tree. Sit for a moment, and just take it in.....
