The O-Yamazaki Sanso Villa being on the side of Tennozan Mountain has a beautiful garden and Museum of Fine Arts.
O-Yamazaki is a border between Kyoto and Osaka. The Yodo-gawa River runs in the narrowest valley between Tennozan Mountain and Otokoyam Mountain. Because of this geographical feature, there run three roads (Meishin Highway, R-171, and old R-1) and four railroads (Tokaido Shinkansen, Hankyu Kyoto Line, JR Tokaido Line, and Keihan Line) in this narrow valley!!
On the hill side of the Tennozan Mountain, you will find the O-Yamazaki Sanso Villa. The Villa has a beautiful garden where you can enjoy cherry blossoms in spring and red leaves (foliage) in autumn. The villa itself became a museum of fine arts where you can appreciate some collections of Claude Monet.
A new museum building was built by a famous architect Tadao Ando under the ground.
Enjoy the magnificent view from the deck of the Villa and paintings of Claude Monet.
A cache is hidden near the entrance.
