On Potlatch Hill road
This road is named for the old Potlatch mill where the Resort golf course is now located.
This hide is just to the west of the Armstrong Park subdivision, a neighborhood within the city limits of Coeur d'Alene (CdA). Armstrong Park was first platted in 1988 and has been slow to fill in with homes for the obvious reason that the slopes are steep and there is a lot of bedrock.
After your find, drive to the top where there is a paved cul-de-sac to turn around in. The views are incredible.
The building near the cache is a water booster station that the city water department put on line in 2007 - replacing an inadequate below-ground station. Drinking water is pumped from here to the top of the hill to a reservoir.
This cache is on public ROW with the permission of the water department and their staff knows it is here. Summer lake level is 2128 feet. This site is about 2316" or 188" above lake level.
The container is small - 2"Tx4.5"Wx7"L. The FTF may keep any one item they wish.
Bring a writing stick. This is a fairly busy road so be cautious of muggles. Be careful of traffic - keep your kids close.
