Cacheosaurus (Bexhill City) Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

LostInTheWoods!: Perhaps this cache has really gone?

However, we are getting fed up with people not making sufficient effort to find our caches, posting DNFs, GCHQ then flagging them as Needs Maintenance, only for us to find that they are still there. ☹️

So, another cache bites the dust. ☹️

To cut down on DNFs from Newbies, we are thinking of making all of our 240-ish caches Premium Only.

That way, we should then only suffer DNF logs by those few high-finds cachers who appear to be in too much of a rush to look properly.

Geocache Description:

This cache is a 35mm film pot located about 1m above pavement level. It should be accessible by wheelchair cachers.

WARNING TO ALL CHILDREN!

THIS CACHE IS LOCATED NEAR A REAL LIVE DINOSAUR!

BEWARE: this dinosaur may look like a giant model but IT IS REAL!

This dinosaur is the great, great, lots-of-greats, grandson of the dinosaur that made the footprints on Bexhill beach.

It tries to fool you by standing absolutely still until you get near to it.

Then SNAP! MUNCH, MUNCH, GULP!

You will be it's dinner!

EVERYBODY BEWARE:
You must never look at the dinosuar's eyes because, if you do, it will see you and get ready to eat you when you get near to it.

LUCKILY: you can all trick the dinosaur in several ways.

You can:
- walk backwards towards him (he will think that you are walking away from him);
- hold hands with somebody who is also looking for the cache (he won't eat two people at the same time);
- wear a super-hero suit when you look for the cache (he will be too scared to eat you);
- shine a Dr Solly keyring torch into his eyes before getting near to him (he will be blinded by the bright light until after you have found and signed the logbook); or
- go at night when the dinosaur has gone to sleep in his cave (but he sometimes stands in the nearby shop window, watching and waiting, licking his lips!).

Please log any other ways in which you manage to fool the dinosaur. Then other people can copy what you did and not get eaten either.

If you are really really scared, you could wait until after CacheDrag0n has found this cache.
After then it should be safe for most (but not all!) peope to go near the dinosaur without being eaten.

Happy caching.
