Geocache Description:

You’d never know this place is actually the original Clover Post Office if you weren’t looking for it! One of the first six buildings marking Clover as a town, this building was constructed by Josiah I Gwinn in 1884. It doesn’t look like a post office now, but rest assured, it was!

Town of Clover Celebrated 125th Anniversary: At one time, Clover, South Carolina, was a little station on the Chester and Lenoir Narrow-Gauge Railroad that provided water to the trains passing through.  But, by faith and fortitude, the Town’s population and economy grew.  Clover was officially incorporated on December 24, 1887.  Clover has continued to grow and prosper and now, 125+ years after incorporation, celebrated its Quasquicentennial Anniversary.  The celebration was held from September 2012 through March 2013.
