This cache is hidden in Irwin Park (now known as the Jordie Lunn Bike Park), which used to be a popular campground. The land for the Humpback Valley Campground was bought by Joe Petker in 1971, who then began the development of a campground. Within the first year, Joe had built the upper dam, forming the upper lake. By 1975, the lower dam and lake had been completed. The campground operated with 122 campsites until 1991, when the campground closed and Joe sold the property. Some of the original 114 acres has now been developed into housing units, and the remainder has now become a Langford park. As you walk through the park, you will see the old campsites, as well as some old buildings and foundations.
