Geocache Description:

The tide streams in, filling the inlets with it’s long fingers, slapping among the mangroves, carrying the splash of fish, flowing from the deep sea into the deep land, leaving traces of a way of living in the heart and habits of life.

- Virginia King, February 2004.

This is an excerpt of a poem written on the ‘Reed Vessel’, an elevated vessel form supported on a cradle 4.5 metres above a pool of water in the wetlands of Docklands Park. The work appears to emerge from the water, a symbol of the rekindled spirit of Docklands.

The Empire presents… Docklands Park. The fifth cache by The Empire is located at Docklands Park in one of Melbourne’s newest residential areas.

This is a small cache. Inside the object you seek is a concealed bison tube that contains a micro write-in-the-rain log. There is no room for swaps. BYO pen and be careful when replacing the cache.
