Theodore Roosevelt Suffolk County Park Big Reed Lake, Hiking Trails

I spent all my summers here in Montauk when I was younger, and never knew that this park ever existed. My husband and I also spent our honeymoon in Montauk, and thought that it would be nice if we placed a cache out here to celebrate our 5th Wedding Anniversary. We are new to Geocaching, and never placed a cache before, this was our first (hence MTD 1st on 5th). It is a little bit of a hike but the trails are beautiful, we placed it in November so a lot of the growth was gone for the season. Take a break and a nice picture at the old boat dock. We will come to visit the cache on our next anniversary since we always celebrate it in Montauk. Happy Caching!
