"Ohio Spirit Quest"
The Ohio Spirit Quest series of geocaches will take you to a number of historic cemeteries built by Buckeye Pioneers. This series is inspired by and a continuation of the Indiana Spirit Quest caches created by Six Dog Team. In just over three years, the SPIRIT QUEST has grown to over 550 caches, with the hiding teams growing as well. The Ohio Spirit Quest has grown to over 30 current hides in Ohio, with five current caching teams, three each with A Man and His Dog, one with a Couple & their Dog... and one with A Woman and her Dog. Over 1,000 cachers have logged over 20,000 finds. One cache machine found 111 ISQ caches in a single day (daylight hours only).

"Hail Mary!"
The St. Mary Catholic Cemetery is located on the southwest corner of the intersection of US. Route 20 and SR 64 in the village of Assumption.
The cemetery is on land purchased from the United States by M. Bunting in 1835. In 1867 ground for a church and a cemetery was donated by Jacob Berrens. A small white church stood where the cemetery is located until the new St. Mary church was dedicated in 1888. The cemetery lies west of the church and was originally about 27 by 11 rods. The Right Reverend Richard Gilmaur consecrated the cemetery in 1879. Several additions have been made to the cemetery. On November 29, 1919 some tombstones were damaged during a storm that took the steeple off the church and wrecked the twenty-two stall hitching shed used by members of the congregation.
Assumption is a small village located at the intersection of Central Avenue and State Route 64. Six miles north of Swanton, and nineteen miles west of downtown Toledo, it is the location of St. Mary's Catholic Church. The first white settlers began moving into Ambot Township in the 1830s. The area was originally called St. Mary's Corners. From the 1840s until 1942, it was called Caraghar's Corners, or Caraghar. It was named after Patrick Caraghar (1806-1863) of Ireland, who was one of the early settlers in the area. His brother John became the first business owner, setting up the first store in the village.
In 1847, St. Mary's was established as a Station, and then a Mission, of other churches in western Lucas and eastern Fulton counties. A simple frame structure was completed in the late 1870s. In 1877, the first resident pastor was assigned. A new, larger church was built in 1888, and the old building was converted to a parish hall. The church was enlarged in 1906. The parish hall was remodeled for a school in 1909. By 1942, the village assumed its current name
