Old School 2
Clearvale House
Clearvale School was not a permanent school but a temporary school which was on the property of “Clearvale”.
The owner, who stayed in the small house opposite, did not live at Clearvale all the time, but rather lived in town and visited the property from time to time. He was a very unassuming man who lived very simply, had very few possessions in the house and allowed the house to be used as a school for a short time. The larger house was used by the workers on the property. This was opposite to the general rule, where the owner would have lived in the larger house and the workers in the smaller house.
The children used to catch “slipperies” in the creek.
The children attending school in this area, including Hollybrook school (Old School 1), were aged 5 years old to those in 5th class. Mostly the 5th class children attended correspondence school.

Note:-
Slipperies
River Blackfish, (Gadopsis marmoratus) also known as slipperies
