All Geocachers are warmly welcomed, to join us
at
The Pride of Lincoln Hotel,

Runcorn Road, off Whisby
Road,
Lincoln, Lincolnshire, LN6
3QZ
on Sunday 6th December 2009
between 12.00 noon and 3.00pm.
The
aim of the event is for everyone to have fun. To meet up with
friends, old and new and catch up and swap stories, about caching
and real life (is there life outside caching?) If your new to
Geocaching, this is the ideal event for you. We don’t bite, we are
very friendly folk and we will always give you a warm welcome. Go
on, try it!
Food and
refreshments will be available over the bar. We will have the sole
use of the Hotels Function Room for the 3 hour duration. If you’re
in the area doing a few caches, why not call in and join us, even
for half an hour if you’re short of time. If you’re local, you
could do the same and just pop out for an hour or so before or
after lunch or perhaps bring the family along and all make a meal
of it as the food is excellent and at reasonable prices too. Its
very informal meet and a good opportunity to put a face to one of
those names!
Children
are welcome and the venue is wheelchair friendly.
To get
there, from the A46 Lincoln bypass. Look out for a large building
that has a windmill in it with no sails (This is the location
you’re going to). Next to this building on it’s southern side, turn
off the A46 onto Whispy Road. Take the next left into Kingsley Road
and again the next left into Runcorn Road. The Hotel is at the end
of the road and has a very large car park, so the more the
merrier.
Please
bring any coins & “bugs along to swap but log them into this
cache when you arrive”. All cachers are requested to book any
“trackable items” out of the event within 24hrs.
NOTE; Only
those cachers who attend will be able to claim the cache. Please
fill in a card with your caching name on it on arrival and place it
in the official box to log your visit. One cacher will be drawn (at
2.30 pm) at random to claim the FTF. There will be a selection of
un-activated coins/travel bugs/caches/accessories etc on sale at
the event.
I would
appreciate if you know you are able to attend this event, that you
log “I will attend (group of 2, 3, 4 etc)” so I can inform the
Hotel in advance with an idea of numbers. Thank you and have a safe
trip.
