Geocache Description:

This cache is located on the shore opposite to a small island.

This cache was to be set up in the only tree on a small island in a small lake west of the Little Pic River. But the water level was too high to safety walk to the island and I didn't have a boat.

Don't let Google Earth fool you. Although the Google Earth image suggests that you can walk to the island, you can not safety do it. I tried but just a meter from the shore the water was already half way up my thighs and water was starting to fill up in my leaky hip waders and the water was getting deeper as I went further.

So I set up the cache on the lake shore opposite to the small island. There is major bushwhacking to be done (~105 meters from the parking area). Although the cache is winter friendly, it may be an effort to get to it. It will be even easier to get to the cache if you use a canoe or even wait until winter and then snowshoe to the cache location

Once winter comes and the lake is frozen over, I may relocate the cache to the one lonely tree on the island. Until then it will remain where it is.

Congratulations to "rs x two" for the FTF. It was hard work getting to the cache location, wasn't it?

UPDATE - Feb. 13/10:
The cache container has been relocated to the small island. Thanks to STATSMAN595 for taking care of this for me.
