The Promenade

_______________________________________________________

Kentucky Heritage at Resthaven Memorial Park is a surprisingly unique development where the traditions of the bluegrass are reflected in a tranquil garden setting.

Strolling down the promenade toward the spired pavilion is like passing through decades of Kentucky thoroughbred lore. Some of the most revered names in the history of the bluegrass have their inspiring sagas etched into polished marble markers found at intervals along the landscaped walkway.

Cast in metal, a thoroughbred is captured in mid-stride, mane flowing. The pavilion is surrounded by black polished marble benches and a 'paddock' area.

The Parking Waypoint will bring you to the beginning of the promenade pictured above. From there you will reach the first Heritage Circle at

You are surrounded by four polished marble info markers which will provide answers to these questions:

2. "The Horse Nobody Wanted", he won Santa Anita's 'Hundred Grander' at what age?. Let that answer become B.
3. He became the fourth Triple Crown winner and compiled a record of 23-3-?. Let the answer to '?' become C.

Roses?

A bit farther down the promenade near the pavilion at the listed coords are the answers to the following questions:

4. How many roses are carved into the benches which surround the pavilion? Let that answer become D.
5. How many columns support the pavilion? Divide that number by SIX and let the answer become E.
6. At the very end of the walkway are two stone posts adorned by black planters. How many Doves appear on them? Let that answer become F.
