Une cache « drive-in » pour une plaque insolite datant du XVIIIe siècle !
Vous pourrez vous garer au waypoint indiqué, près de l’impasse du Puits.
Cette plaque qui porte l’inscription : « Défense de trotter dans l’intérieur du village » résulte d’un différend entre le maire de l’époque et le conducteur de la diligence qui emmenait les villageois aux marchés d’Aurignac et de Salies du Salat.
Elle fut installée à la suite d’un contentieux afin de réguler la circulation et d’apaiser la discorde !
Donc, avis aux geo-cavaliers : ne trottez pas dans le village !!…..
A l’est, vous pourrez voir une maison-forte datant du XVIe siècle. Elle aurait été un poste de guet sur les voies d’accès entre la Garonne et Aurignac : les meutrières et l’austérité du bâtiment accréditeraient cette thèse.

A drive-by cache for an unusual plaque dating from the eighteenth century!
You can park at the indicated waypoint, near the "impasse du puits".
The plaque bears the inscription: "forbidden to trot in the village" due to a dispute between the mayor at the time and the driver of the coach which took villagers to the markets of Aurignac and Salies of Salat.
It was set following a dispute in order to regulate traffic and to allay discord!
So, advice to geo-horseriders: do not trot in the village! ... ..
On the east, you will see a large house dating from the sixteenth century. It is said to have been a lookout post on the pathways between the Garonne and Aurignac: the loopholes and the austerity of the building back up the argument.
