This cache was designed mainly for kids. It has been placed at the end of a very pleasant 3/4 mile walk through the woodlands of Lanfine Estate. A few years ago, a breed of wild boar was introduced to the woodland and their numbers have been increasing each year. At first they were shy retiring creatures and difficult to spot but now they have become so used to the presence of people walking past that they will hang around the enclosure fence looking for any food scraps. Apparently, the estate owners have now indicated that they do not want the public to feed these animals. Cross the bridge at the end of Ranoldcoup road and enter the estate through the small open gate at the gatehouse.
The cache container has now been replaced by something smaller but more rodent proof than the original. It will however hold small swaps and trackables.
