Hojes (även kallat Johans, bebott 1861-1892) Idag finns endast en husgrund och en torpkällare kvar tillsammans med den omgivande gamla odlade marken som nu håller på att växa igen. Familjen Johannes Gustafsson (*1811 i Bollebygd, †1892) och hans hustru Anna Andersdotter (*1811 i Forssa Qvarn, Bollebygd †1870) flyttade till Backabo 1851. 1861 flyttade de till torpet Hojes. De fick två barn varav dottern dog i späd ålder. Torpet kom att kallas Hojes och det berättas i Sandhult att Johannes kallades Hojen därför att han brukade ropa ho, hoj, hoj när han vallade sina djur. Det berättas också att åkern vid Hojes användes som fotbollsplan av Backabobarnen. Ibland tog hela familjerna picknickturer hit.(vid ett sådant tillfälle togs detta foto i början av 1950-talet) Denna cache ligger precis vid Knalleleden. ------------------------------------------------------- Hojes (also known as Johans, inhabited 1861-1892) Today there are only a foundation and a cottage basement remains together with the surrounding old cultivated land that is now being overgrown. Family, Johannes Gustafsson (Bollebygd *1811, †1892) and his wife Anna Andersdotter (*1811 in Forssa mill, Bollebygd †1870) moved to Backabo 1851. In 1861 they moved to the cottage “Hojes”. They had two children, of whom their daughter died in infancy. The cottage became known as Hojes, and it is told in Sandhult that Johannes called “Hojen” because he used to cry ho, hoj, hoj as he herded his animals. It is said also that the field were used by the Backabo children as a football field. Sometimes they took the whole family to picnic here. (At such time this photo was taken in the early 1950s) This cache lies nearby the hiking trail “Knalleleden”.
