On one chilly mid November day, I decided to visit Cougar Mountain’s west side to find one of Hydnsek’s caches. As we were making our way back to the parking lot, McKitten thought a certain area in the park deserved a cache. Since we had Cougar with us, I suggested that it would be quite fitting if Cougar had his very own cache and really wheres the best spot for a Cougar’s cache but at Cougar Mountain Regional Wildland Park! Hence a new cache opportunity presented itself. McKitten picked out the spot and hid the cache. I took the coordinates between muggles passing by.
To help cachers find this cache, Cougar has given you “directions” (besides coordinates) to find this little cache. You only need to venture about 3 steps from the trail to get this cache. There is no need to bushwack and you do NOT want to go blazing your own geotrail in the park because of the potential mine shafts in the area. If you need a map for the park, there is one at the at a kiosk near the parking lot. Since this area is quite popular for muggles, stealth will be needed especially on the weekends when the trails are crawling with muggles!
