Geocache Description:

This cache is a small lock and lock container. It was initially stocked with small dinosaurs

I placed this hide because the location reminds me of one of my favorite H.P. Lovecraft stories, "The Statement of Randolph Carter". Not only is this "weird tale" a good read, it also describes an early form of our geocaching hobby.

Specifically, the story follows two characters, Harley Warren (HW) and Randolph Carter (RC), as they engage in what today we might describe as "night caching". The "cache" is in an underground chamber and HW climbs in to retrieve it while RC waits on the surface. HW locates the cache, but finds the FTF prize to be a little more than he expected. The FTF profoundly effected HW, and he wrote in his log:

"It would be a crime to ask a cacher with frail nerves to go down there and find this cache. You can't imagine, even from what you have read in the logs the things that I have had to see and do.
Its fiendish work, and I doubt anyone without ironclad sensibilities could ever see it through and log the cache. Choose your caching companions wisely. Don't drag a bundle of nerves down to the GZ to probable death or madness!"

Well, that must have been one tough micro!

In any case, this hide is a bit easier and less exciting. Enjoy the cache!
