Geocache Description:

This is our first cache hide and we decided to design it to help promote Benchmarks in our area. There are several in the Dothan area but few have been left visible. This cache is a two-stage multi. The coordinates above will take you to Stage 1.

Stage 1 should take you directly in front of a Benchmark (BT0814) at a historic site. To get the coordinates for Final Satge you will need to gather two bits of information and plug them into the formula below. First, look for the Benchmark in the wall and get the date on the disk. Second, find the historic marker and get the date of construction for the site.

Coordinates for Final Stage:

(Construction Date) – 1241 = answer1

(Benchmark Date) – 1571 = answer2

31° 12. (answer1)
85° 23. (answer2)

The Final Stage, like Stage 1, is a great location to see a play or get in touch with your artistic side. Don't forget to log your Benchmark find (BT0814)
