The cache is less than .5 mile from the parking area with very little elevation change.
Directions:
From the intersection of Hwy 64 and Hwy 276 in Pisgah Forest, drive north on Hwy 276 for 5.2 miles, then turn left onto Forest Service Road 475. The road will turn to dirt. The above coordinates will lead you to the cache. Parking will be obvious.
Follow your GPS behind the gate, Daniel Ridge loop Trail will veer to the left a little past the bridge.

The new bridge is in place and completed!
While performing maintenance on a few of other caches along this trail, we had a few spare geocaches with us, in case we had ro replace one. Since we found everything to be in good order, on the way back, we decided to add another one somewhere in the middle of our other two. No sense in carrying ALL of the extra caches back...
Xylem (wood) Detritus (the remains of something that has been destroyed or broken up) That should be a pretty good clue.
Follow your GPS to something that would meet the above description approx. 15 feet to the right of the tail.
The cache is a small glass cosmetic jar with a red screw-on top. It is hidden from casual view.
Bring your pen or pencil to sign the homemade log.
Please keep in mind that animals have VERY sensitive noses, so please do NOT put food, candy, mints, or other scented items like candles or soaps into the cache. Animals smell it and think it is food.
Note: Both of our GPS receivers were bouncing all over the place, and we had difficulty navigating back to the cache hidey hole. We have provided a spoiler picture to ensure your success.
Thanks
