A cache located alongside an irrigation intake pond.
The irrigation pond supplies water to the Lower Waitaki Irrigation scheme and the recently built Downlands scheme.
Access is from SH 83 west of Black Point Rd
The pond is a natural haven for wildlife and frequented by a number of keen fishermen. Alongside the pond campers have been seen set up for quiet relaxation or water related activities.
The cache is a 50 ml container.
