Kinnoull Hill Woodland Park includes the area of Corsiehill, to the
northern side of the Sidlaws. Numerous walks take you around the
Hill, with walks of varied lenghts, on both hard paths or tracks
through the woods. Keep your eyes open for a variety of wildlife to
include Deer and squirrels, or listen out for the jays laughing in
the tree tops..
Plenty of horses can
be seen in the fields that surround the north and east of the hill,
and some can be seen trotting through the woodlands.
This cache is not
far from a well defined track as you kick your way through the
leaves. Patrick Geddes (1854 – 1932), a local botanist and
biologist lived in a cottage on Kinnoull Hill was famous for his
saying “by living we learn, by leaves we live”
