Geocache Description:

1998 Women's Ice Hockey Team Wins Gold!

Our friend Lisa was on the USA women's ice hockey team which brought home a gold medal from Nagano, Japan in 1998.

This was the first Olympics that Women's Hockey was played as a medal event, and the U.S. Team made history winning the inaugural gold medal in the event.

We wanted to draw more attention to the sport, and to women who play Hockey, especially as our friend coaches at the location of this cache on a regular basis.
